Our analysts are seasoned professionals, with a proven track record of success in collision reconstruction.

Charles Schack is an ACTAR-accredited accident reconstruction expert, and has been analyzing motor vehicle crashes since 1984. He served as the assistant commander of the New Hampshire State Police Technical Accident Reconstruction Unit, a prosecutor of several hundred trials, and the lead instructor of traffic accident reconstruction for the State of NH. He has reconstructed thousands of vehicle crash cases and testified as an expert numerous times in several states. He was educated at the University of Michigan and Northeastern University.

Charles Forsaith has been analyzing crashes since 1977, and served as the commander of the New Hampshire State Police Technical Accident Reconstruction Unit. He also was the lead instructor of basic and technical accident investigation for the State of NH. He has reconstructed some of the state’s most high profile crashes and has testified as an expert numerous times. He was educated at St. Anselm College.

Major Crash Analysis: Whether a serious collision has occurred minutes ago or years earlier, we are equipped to document and analyze serious crashes. Large-format, fully-rendered diagrams and demonstratives are available upon request. We are available to respond 24 hours a day.

Vehicle damage analysis: Vehicle damage can reveal the speed, direction, use of brakes, and type of object struck during a collision. While vehicle damage analysis is important in virtually every collision, this service is invaluable in verifying reported hit-and-run collisions. Damage analysis is crucial to identifying staged collisions.

Insurance Fraud: Insurance fraud is a big business, and comes in many varieties. Whether it is a minor impact with major injuries, a staged collision, or a collision of questionable origin, a technical analysis of the collision can identify potentially fraudulent claims.

Crash Data Retrieval: For vehicles equipped with compatible Event Data Recorders/Airbag Control Modules, we are able to download crash-related information about the vehicle's speed, seatbelt usage, brake pedal use, and other data. The list of compatible vehicles has expanded, as well as the type of data which can be retrieved.

Course instruction/Lecturing: CrashExperts’ staff are veteran instructors in the field of accident investigation and reconstruction. We can tailor our presentations for legal and insurance professionals, law enforcement agencies, and other investigators.

We can lecture for classes as brief as one hour, or provide in-depth instruction for a series of 80 hour courses. We provide instruction in accident investigation and reconstruction, applied physics in accident reconstruction, insurance fraud, and vehicle damage analysis.

  R A T E S

General analysis/consulting: All analysis and travel is billed at the rate of $150.00 USD per hour. Plaintiff cases require a non-refundable retainer of $1500.00.

Overnight travel: Travel outside of the New England area is billed at a per diem rate. Please contact us for more information.

Crash Data Retrieval: Crash Data Retrieval is available for compatible vehicles at $250.00 per download. Travel and Analysis of the downloaded data are billed at the General Analysis rate.

Course Instruction: Instructor fees are dependent on course length and content. Please contact us with your specific needs.

Other expenses: All out of pocket expenses are billed at cost, including: tolls, parking, airfare, photo processing, and car rental. Vehicle travel is billed at 50 cents per mile.

Expert Testimony: Courtroom or other testimony is billed at $175.00 USD per hour. Deposition testimony is billed at a flat rate of $1000.00 per day, with a four hour maximum sitting time. Deposition testimony fee is required in advance of any testimony.
